Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Budshi, a free-to-play social game where friends draft real-world questions and compare how well they forecast. By creating an account or using Budshi you agree to them.

1. Who can use Budshi

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

2. What Budshi is, and isn't

• Budshi is a scorekeeping game for entertainment. Points and rankings have no cash value.
• Budshi does not accept wagers, hold funds for players, or pay out prizes.
• Budshi is not a broker, exchange or financial adviser, and nothing on it is financial advice.

3. Circles, public Circles and your content

A Circle is a group run by its owner. Owners and commissioners can approve members, edit questions and resolve outcomes, and their decisions within a Circle are final as far as Budshi is concerned. Public Circles show their name, description and member count on Budshi's directory; nothing else about members or their answers is shown publicly before answers lock.

You keep ownership of the content you post (names, descriptions, notes). You give Budshi permission to host and display it as needed to run the service. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or that infringes others' rights. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

4. Question data from third parties

Suggested questions are drawn from publicly available Kalshi market data. Budshi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi. Question wording, timing and resolution information is provided as-is and may be wrong or change. Circle hosts decide how their questions resolve.

5. Budshi Plus subscription

• The free plan lets you run one Circle at a time. Budshi Plus is $9.99 per year (plus any applicable tax) and lets you run up to 5 Circles at a time.
• “Run” means Circles you created and haven't archived. Circles you have only joined don't count.
• Plus renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; Plus then continues until the end of the paid year.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Budshi does not see or store your card number.
• Annual fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
• If Plus ends, your existing Circles keep working, but you can't create or restore Circles beyond the free limit until you are back under it.
• We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, scrape it at scale, use it to harass others, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Budshi is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Budshi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will tell you in the app. You can stop using Budshi at any time, and we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
