Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Budshi collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details such as your name and email, through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
• Game activity: the Circles you create or join, join requests and notes, draft picks, answers, scores and rankings.
• Billing status for Plus: your plan, renewal date and Stripe customer reference. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Basic technical data such as device, browser and error logs, used to keep the service working and secure.

What other people can see

• Members of a Circle can see each other's display names, roster and standings. Answers stay hidden from other members until they lock.
• Public Circles show only their name, description, member count and season status to anyone. A Circle's host can see your name and note when you request to join.
• Exhibition Circles publish standings and calibration after lock.

How we use it

To run Budshi: authenticate you, operate Circles and scoring, send recaps, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us operate Budshi, such as sign-in (Clerk), payments (Stripe), email delivery, hosting and background-job services. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Retention and your choices

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to run Circles you belong to. You can archive Circles you own, cancel Plus from the Billing page, and ask us to delete your account and personal data.

Children

Budshi is for people 18 and older and isn't directed to children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we'll tell you in the app.
